DAISY MOUNTAIN VETERANS – Vietnam Veterans Medal Ceremony – March 10, 2018

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, the Daisy Mountain Veterans (DMV) will honor thirty local veterans who served in Vietnam at the Anthem Veterans Memorial. Each veteran will receive the Department of Defense 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War medallion, a lapel pin, and a commemorative shirt and hat to be worn on the day of the event.

In addition, this year several deceased veterans will be honored, and their awards will be accepted by their families. If last year’s ceremony is any indication, this event will be an old-fashioned day of red, white, and blue pageantry complete with a performance by the Arizona Veterans Band, all former members of the 108th Army Band. Our two principal speakers will be Rear Admiral James Symonds and Rear Admiral Ronald Tucker.

The DMV is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation based in Anthem. Anyone wishing to donate to this program is encouraged to complete the following information and mail with a tax deductible check to the address below. Your contribution will be acknowledged in our media advertising. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on March 10 as we honor our local heroes!
